Pantone 17-5641

Pantone è stata chiara: il 17-5641 è il colore del 2013. Questo codice vi dice poco? Indica semplicemente lo smeraldo, la nobile e vibrante sfumatura di verde, assoluta protagonista di queste foto di moda, che ci accompagnerà per tutto l'anno.
Tornata in auge, già da qualche anno, col diverso nome di "verde petrolio", questa tinta ha conquistato tutti, fino ad arrivare, dritta dritta, sulle passerelle di alta moda.
Gli stilisti, per la primavera-estate, infatti, non hanno esitato neanche un momento a scegliere lo smeraldo come filo conduttore delle proprie collezioni.
Nessun tessuto, drappeggio, decoro o texture ne è immune: pure la pelle si tinge di verde, dando forma a blouson over e gonne a matita, per Sportmax, e ad accessori dall'allure classica, come la tracolla da postino, per Gucci.  
Chissà perchè la scelta di Pantone è ricaduta proprio sul 17-5641... Perchè il verde è il colore della speranza? Perchè in tempi di crisi si rinuncia alle pietre preziose ma ne si portano le sfumature sugli abiti? Strategie di marketing? Nessuno probabilmente lo saprà mai, ma indosserà dei capi in tinta. Questo è poco, ma sicuro.

This colour conquered everyone, until it reached haute couture catwalks.
Designers, for this spring-summer season, in fact, have never hesitated to choose emerald as main colour of their collections.
No one fabric, texture, decoration is immune to it: even leather becomes green, giving shape to jackets and pencil-skirts, for Sportmax, and to rètro accessories, like the postman's satchel, for Gucci.
Who knows why Pantone chose 17-5641... Maybe because green is the colour of hope? Because in crisis times we renounce to precious jems, but not to their shades? Marketing strategies? Probably no one will ever know it, but he/she will wear emerald items. For sure.

Me like the Queen B

Dopo tanti (troppi!!) giorni senza pubblicare alcun post (causa scuola e malattie varie), eccone uno nuovo nuovo!!

Per questo outfit, mi sono lasciata ispirare dalla mia serie tv preferita, Gossip Girl, e, in particolare dal personaggio di Blair Waldorf. 

Headband di cristalli, pizzi, collant decorati e vestitino bon ton: come la regina B, sarei pronta per macchinare intrighi e organizzare party super. Peccato che io non sia nell'Upper East Side a Manhattan... :(

Bisogna mettersi al lavoro per questo!!

After (too) many days without posting anything (the fault is all of school and flu), here it is a new post!!

For this outfit, my favourite serial, Gossip Girl, and, in particular, the character of Blair Waldorf inspired me.

A sparkling headband, lace, decorated tights and a bon ton dress: like queen B, I'd be ready to plot intrigues and to organize super parties. What a pity that I'm not in the Upper East Side of Manhattan... :( 

I have to work hard for this!!

Just a leopard touch...

Premettendo che considero l'animalier all over un'esagerazione e un affronto al buon gusto, non penso ci sia niente di male nell'adottare un tocco wild nei propri look. Anche se questa scelta, poco tempo fa, poteva provocare smorfie di disapprovazione nelle rigorose signorine perbene, ora non sconvolge affatto. Anzi, la  celebre stampa leopardo è diventata un classico (come il camouflage, per intenderci).

Lo ammetto: ho comprato queste ballerine circa due anni fa e non ho mai avuto il coraggio di indossarle (chissà perchè poi!). Ora, però, è arrivato il tempo di tirare fuori gli artigli (è il caso di dirlo).

In fondo, l'animalier può essere facilmente smorzato. Da un jeans e un trench, per esempio, capi di cui non posso fare proprio a meno! Per non parlare del pizzo. Cosa c'è di più femminile e romantico del pizzo per addolcire un outfit altrimenti troppo wild o sportivo?

Granted that, according to me, animalier style all over is an exaggeration and an affront to good taste, I don't think adopting a wild touch in your own looks is a bag thing. Despite, some years ago, this choice could cause disfavour in respectable girls, nowadays, it doesn't shock anyone. On the contrary, leopard pattern has become a classic item (exactly like camouflage).       

I admit it: I bought these flats about two years ago and I've never been enough brave to wear them (I don't even know why!). Now, though, the time to dare has come!

Animalier pattern is easy to dim. With a good pair of jeans or a trench, for example, items which can't miss in a Torisienne's wardrobe! And what about lace? Is there a more girlish and romantic than it to make sweetier too wild or sporty outfits?

Not just a happy (pink) hour

Ecco un look glamour, comodo, ma soprattutto versatile. Elegante senza esserlo troppo e sparkling, pur mantenendo un basso profilo, è perfetto in diverse occasioni: aperitivo, cena, lavoro e scuola sono solo alcune...

Il jeans sdrammatizza ogni outfit, è vero, ma qui non è il solo. La giacca è rilassata al punto giusto, il top un incontro tra pizzi cangianti e sportivo jersey grigio, le scarpe luccicanti, sì, ma pur sempre flat. 

Grande assente? La borsa... Qui la scelta è condizionata dalle circostanze. Pochette-gioiello per la sera, tracollina per il giorno e, se proprio non ne si può fare a meno, una mega shopping per portarsi dietro tutto, compromettendo però la salute della nostra povera schiena.

Here it is a glamour, comfortable, but, above all, versatile look. Elegant, without being it too much, and sparkling, but also sporty, it's perfect for different occasions: happy hour, dinner, work, school are just few of them.

A pair of jeans downplays every outfit, it's true, but it's not the only one. The blazer is relaxed at the right point, the hank top is a meeting between lace and sporty grey jersey, shoes are covered by crystals, sure, but they're superflat.

The big absent? The bag... For this one, the choice is conditioned by the occasion. Jewel-clutch for the night and a big shopping for our busy days of work.
