Spring? Just on my pants

Ma è possibile che, a inizio aprile e a Pasqua ormai passata, la primavera stenti ancora ad arrivare??

Il freddo non sembra più voler dar tregua, tuttavia, l'orologio della moda continua a ticchettare e io, personalmente, non ne posso più di piumini, cappelli e Ugg!

Non vedo l'ora di sfoggiare i nuovi look primaverili che mi guardano invitanti dall'armadio. E l'outfit che ho scelto ne è un assaggio.

Il parka diventa più leggero e si ingentilisce con applicazioni sparkling, i bijoux assumono tinte più tenui e sui pantaloni di tela fioriscono rose e margherite.

Can you believe that spring hasn't already come? It's April and Easter has passed but cold doesn't want to leave us. Though, fashion clock keeps on ticking and let me say I'm totally fed up of duvet coats, hats and Ugg boots!

I can't wait to wear the new spring garments that look at me so inviting from the wardrobe. The outfit I chose is one of them.

The Parka becomes lighter and more girlish with some crystal decorations, jewelry has brighter colours and the canvas pants seem a perfumed garden, full of roses and daisies.

Foulard mania #2 - The top

Le vetrine dei negozi e le pagine patinate dei giornali parlano. La primavera è nell'aria (anche se qui fa ancora freddo!) e protagoniste fashion di questa meravigliosa stagione saranno le stampe.

Quale migliore scusa per fare incetta di foulard di seta vintage o capi fantasia?

Io ho scovato questo carrè di Hermès in un vecchio baule e ne ho fatto un top. Mi è bastato annodarne gli angoli dietro al collo e alla schiena et voilà!

Which better occasion to look for vintage silk foulard or patterned items?

I found out this Hermès carrè in an old chest and I turned it into an hank top. To knot the edges of the foulard behind the neck and the back was enough!

Fashion remixes

La vera Torisienne diffida dai completi coordinati. Evita di indossare abiti di un unico brand tutti insieme come se uscisse direttamente da una sfilata. Ciò che veramente importa per lei è dare vita ad un proprio stile personale, mai banale nè già visto.

Mixare, seguendo l’istinto, capi di diversa foggia e pensati ognuno per una diversa occasione, in fondo, ha i suoi pregi. Infatti ci rassicura di essere uniche, ci salva da imbarazzanti incontri con donne uguali a noi o vestite nello stesso modo (che è ben peggio! XD).

É rischioso, talvolta, accostare tessuti diversi o stili apparentemente discordanti (le fantasie, per esempio!), ma bisogna osare (sempre con sale in zucca comunque!).

Il top di seta e pizzo bon ton con gli shorts mimetici a cavallo basso. Chi l’avrebbe detto? Ora che il camouflage è diventato un classico (quasi) tutto è concesso! E la borsa di paillettes? Purchè sia soft.

Già, perchè per questi fashion remix ogni cosa deve essere soft (e non sto parlando solo dei tessuti, che dovrebbero sempre essere naturali e, possibilmente, di qualità). Le tinte? Neutre. Le fantasie? Attutite e non shocking. I decori? Mai troppi. Il risultato deve apparire spontaneo (ricordate!) e mai troppo studiato!

The true Torisienne doesn’t like to wear altogether clothes by the same brand. She isn’t one of the models of a fashion show. What’s really important for her is to create her own personal style, neither obvious or already seen.

To mix garments, maybe thought for a different occasion, actually is not bad. In fact, it makes us unique and saves us from meeting women similar to us or dressed in the same way (that’s even worse! XD).

It’s dangerous, sometimes, to put close to each other different textures or styles (like prints, for examples!), but you must dare (without forgetting sense, though!).

Silk and lace bon ton top with camouflage shorts. Have you ever thought about them together? And what about the full of paillettes bag?

In these fashion remixes everything must be soft, light, the opposite oh kitsch.

Remember: the result should seem natural, not too much studied.
