Warm remix

Questo weekend di sole è un'eccezione. Per la prossima settimana, a Torino come nel resto d'Italia, si attendono, infatti, giornate grigie, freddo pungente e abbondanti nevicate.

Ecco che allora parka e cappottini in montone caldissimi dovranno aspettare ancora un po' prima di essere riposti negli armadi.

Io adoro accostare stili diversi e per questo look ho scelto di accompagnare il parka di Zara con due accessori in apparente contrasto con il rigore e la praticità di questo capo: la iconica Speedy bag di Louis Vuitton e una morbidissima pashmina-foulard di Hermès.   

Li preferite insieme al montoncino cioccolato??

This sunny weekend is just an exception. Next week, in Turin but also in the rest of Italy, days will be foggy, cold and snowy.

I'm sorry to tell you, but it's too early to put into your wardrobes parkas and fur coats. I know, it's sad.

For this look, I chose to match the Zara parka with two accessories which normally aren't used with this sporty item: the iconic Speedy bag by Louis Vuitton and a supersoft pashmina-foulard by Hermès. You already know I love fashion remixes.

A snow queen wears light grey and burgundy...

C'è una cosa che veramente adoro: veder nevicare. Il lento cadere di fiocchi di ghiaccio dal cielo mi infonde nell'animo un senso di pace e tranquillità senza pari... Il tempo sembra fermarsi, i rumori e le brutture di tutti i giorni si attenuano e svaniscono come per magia... Non c'è niente da fare: se la neve fosse uno dei quattro elementi fondamentali (acqua, terra, fuoco e aria), sarebbe il mio. 

Molti, tuttavia, davanti alla poesia di un paesaggio ricoperto da una soffice coltre bianca, potrebbero rimanere indifferenti o addirittura infastiditi. Certo, non bisogna dimenticare che il freddo e il rigore dell'inverno possono non piacere a tutti... Per fortuna anche per loro c'è un rimedio: sto parlando della moda, ovviamente!

Forse è proprio questa la stagione più elegante: l'arte di accostare cappotti e giacche, strati su strati, infatti, non sarebbe facilmente esprimibile in estate!

Dopo un'intensa nevicata, che ha ricoperto i pini del mio giardino, ho deciso di indossare capi di diversa foggia e materiale, rimanendo però su due tinte ben precise: il grigio chiaro e il bordeaux, il vero protagonista della stagione.

There's one thing I really adore: watching the snow falling down. It makes me feel quite and in peace... Time seems to stop, noises and bad things disappear like they are under a spell... If snow were one of the four fundamental elements (water, earth, fire and air), it would be mine.

Many people, though, in front of the poetry of a landscape covered by a white blanket, could feel indefference or even annoyance. Obviously, we can't forget not everyone likes cold... Luckily, also for them, there's a remedy: fashion, of course!

Maybe winter is the most elegant season of the year: you can't express the art of mixing coats and jackets, sweaters and scarves, during summer!

After an intense snowfall, which covered the pines of my garden, I decided to wear items of different texture and fabric, serving though two precise colours: light grey and burgundy, true protagonist of the season.

Just a leopard touch...

Premettendo che considero l'animalier all over un'esagerazione e un affronto al buon gusto, non penso ci sia niente di male nell'adottare un tocco wild nei propri look. Anche se questa scelta, poco tempo fa, poteva provocare smorfie di disapprovazione nelle rigorose signorine perbene, ora non sconvolge affatto. Anzi, la  celebre stampa leopardo è diventata un classico (come il camouflage, per intenderci).

Lo ammetto: ho comprato queste ballerine circa due anni fa e non ho mai avuto il coraggio di indossarle (chissà perchè poi!). Ora, però, è arrivato il tempo di tirare fuori gli artigli (è il caso di dirlo).

In fondo, l'animalier può essere facilmente smorzato. Da un jeans e un trench, per esempio, capi di cui non posso fare proprio a meno! Per non parlare del pizzo. Cosa c'è di più femminile e romantico del pizzo per addolcire un outfit altrimenti troppo wild o sportivo?

Granted that, according to me, animalier style all over is an exaggeration and an affront to good taste, I don't think adopting a wild touch in your own looks is a bag thing. Despite, some years ago, this choice could cause disfavour in respectable girls, nowadays, it doesn't shock anyone. On the contrary, leopard pattern has become a classic item (exactly like camouflage).       

I admit it: I bought these flats about two years ago and I've never been enough brave to wear them (I don't even know why!). Now, though, the time to dare has come!

Animalier pattern is easy to dim. With a good pair of jeans or a trench, for example, items which can't miss in a Torisienne's wardrobe! And what about lace? Is there a more girlish and romantic than it to make sweetier too wild or sporty outfits?

Black Sangallo

Oggi, con mio fratello Lorenzo, mio “fotografo personale”, mi sono recata sulle colline di Laigueglia, un piccolo paesino della Liguria, dove da sempre trascorro le vacanze estive, e ho scattato alcune foto.

Ho scelto di indossare questo abitino di sangallo nero, che si è rivelato veramente un  buon acquisto. Infatti, se la spiaggia in cui abbiamo scelto di andare è particolarmente elegante, lo si può portare come copricostume senza sfigurare. Ma non solo. Per fare shopping in luoghi come Portofino, St Tropez o Capri è perfetto. Come lo è per un aperitivo al tramonto in riva al mare.

Un imperativo categorico sono le scarpe basse. Sandali, ballerine o espadrillas, scarpe di ogni tipo, purchè rasoterra. I tacchi sarebbero fuori luogo, no?

Today, with my brother Lorenzo, my “personal photographer”, I’ve reached the top of the hills around Laigueglia, a little village in Liguria, where I’ve always come for my summer holidays, and I’ve taken some photos.

I chose to wear a little Sangallo black dress, a very good purchase. In fact, if the beach where we’ve decided to go is particularly elegant, it would be perfect on a bikini. But that’s not all. Wearing it would be a right choice also to go shopping  in  Portofino, St Tropez or Capri and for the happy hour on the beach.

High heels are forbidden. Sandals, flats or espadrillas are the best choice.
